



Postgame Notes
- North led 28-10 going to the fourth quarter.
- South scored ten straight point on a 13-yard pass from Aeden McCarthy to Carter Coleman and a 25-yard field goal by CJ Falotico to pull to within 28-20 with 8:58 to play.
- Following the field goal, Javen Cook returned the kickoff 94 yards for a touchdown for a 35-20 North lead.
- The South responded with a 10 play, 52 yard drive with quarterback Quinn Mahoney running in from the eight with 5:06 remaining to make it 35-27.
- With 1:50 to play, the South took over at their own 22 following a punt, and a subsequent 36-yard pass from McCarthy to JQ Crosby moved the ball to the North 32 with :50 left.
- An offensive pass interference call on third and seven from the North 29 pushed the South back to the 44. McCarthy then took two shots into the end zone that were incomplete to turn the ball over on downs.
- The North led 14-10 and halftime, then extended the lead with two third quarter touchdowns in which they owned the ball for most of the quarter. The North had one touchdown drive of 14 plays and 80 yards in 6:54, and another of 7 plays and 81 yard in 2:12.
- RJ Brown rushed for 88 yards and two two touchdowns for the North, and quarterback Roper Wentzky was 9-11 for 102 yards, a touchdown and an interception. Stone Furrey caught five passes for 48 yards and a score.
- McCarthy was 7-17 for 193 yards and two touchdowns for the South. JQ Crosby caught eight passes for 115 yards.
- The game became highly emotional and physical, to the point two players opted out during the game. After the game, the teams were sent to their respective locker rooms bypassing the traditional postgame handshake line.
- The North has won the last two meetings and six of the last eleven, and now leads the series 42-33-2.
