STRecruiting: Talented guard headed to South Carolina from Alabama in 6-5 Davion Hannah

Davion Hannah (Alabama Athletics)

For the second time during this era of free agency, South Carolina has grabbed a player from the Alabama Crimson Tide. Two seasons ago, forward Nick Pringle gave the Gamecocks some good production on the inside before leaving for Arkansas. Now, 6-6 guard Davion Hannah has decided to join the Gamecocks, and he should give them some firepower in the backcourt.

Injuries limited Hannah this season to just ten games, and four points per game. But he came to Tuscaloosa from a school in Branson, MO, though he’s a native of Milwaukee. Missouri, Ohio State, Minnesota, Mississippi State, Wisconsin and Cincinnati were three other programs he considered before choosing the Tide.

Hannah is the sixth free agent to agree to join the Gamecocks for this coming season, and he pushes the current roster number for this season to ten.
