STRecruiting Notebook 5-5: OL Caleb Siler sets four OVs, including USC; Clemson offers CB; NC DE sets Clemson OV

OL Caleb Siler of Gunter, TX has lined up four official visits. He has Northwestern this weekend, TCU May 29th, Arkansas June 5th and South Carolina on June 12th. Those are his top schools right now, though others could be added. USC OL coach Randy Clements has been out to see him and is expected back on Thursday.

South Carolina DC and linebackers coach Clayton White is scheduled to visit with Hammond LB Jackson Ross on Tuesday. Ross has OVs set with USC, Vanderbilt and Texas Tech.

WR Taurean Rawlins of Sandy Springs, GA, who has an offer from South Carolina and interest from Clemson, was offered by Ohio State.

Clemson offered CB Nash Johnson (6-1 175) of Powder Springs, GA. He’s a former Alabama commitment. He visited on Sunday.  He has officials set with Auburn, Miami and Tennessee. 

DE Andrew Rogers (6-6 240) of Greensboro, NC has set an official visit to Clemson for June 12th.  He also visited Clemson in March.  USC also offered him a while back and he visited for a game last season and for a spring practice.  He also has offers from Kentucky, Wake Forest, Tennessee, Georgia, Louisville, Auburn, Georgia Tech, LSU, Virginia Tech and LSU. 

Clemson invited OL Aidan Engelbrecht (6-2 305) of New Port Richey, FL to work out for the coaches at one of the June camps.

South Carolina target CB Joshua Dobson was projected by Steve Wiltfong of On3 to eventually commit to Texas A&M. In February, he had predicted Dobson would commit to LSU. Dobson has officials scheduled with USC, Auburn, LSU and A&M. He once played at Catawba Ridge and is now at Hough in Cornelius, NC.

Westside WR Tajeh Watson was offered by Maryland.

2028 DE Christian Webb-Scott of Westside was offered by LSU.

Basketball News:

Former South Carolina guard Cam Scott signed with Temple.

One-time Clemson and Furman forward 6-7 Asa Thomas signed with Illinois-Chicago. He’s a native of the Chicago area.
