STRecruiting: OT Kamari Blair meets with Teasley, looking forward to OV with South Carolina next month

South Carolina offensive line coach Lonnie Teasley has two commitments for his positions in the 2026 class and is looking for more. One he has his eyes fixed on is OT Kamari Blair (6-6 280) of Clarksville, TN. The two met earlier this week as a prelim to Blair’s official visit June 6th.

“We went out to dinner and we were just hanging out,” Blair said.  “We’ve already talk about most of the recruiting stuff.  We were just mainly catching up and chatting.  We talked about how he has two O-linemen committed, and we talked about the OV and the future with us and South Carolina.”

Is there a future between the two at this point?

“They are one of my top schools for sure,” Blair said.  “It’s the family vibe that I get out of it.  Shane Beamer checks up on me often.  Coach Teasley, we have a real close connection.  Me and Sam Serbay have a  good connection.  I keep a good connection with some of the players to, so I feel like I would fit into their locker room.”

Blair also plans official visits to Florida State, Ole Miss and Kentucky. Those visits will help him finalize his future plans by giving him a deep feel for the relationships he has built with each program.

“I’ve already seen everything that I really need to see,” Blair said.  “I think it will be based off how close I really feel with the entire staff and the players, the family bond that I feel.  The plan right now is to probably commit by August 1st.  That may or may not change depending on how much I really like any of these places I visit.”

Blair’s visit to USC will be his second. He was also in for a spring practice in early April.

As he goes into the official visit phase of the recruiting process, Blair hasn’t made a decision and is trying to stay open minded, but he admits one team has moved to the front.

“I like to keep things open minded, but right now I have a favorite,” he said. “I don’t know if I can tell you right now.”

And he did not.

Along with Teasley, Blair also met with this week with recruiters from Kentucky, Ole Miss, Missouri, Wisconsin, Georgia Tech and Indiana.
