Clemson remains #4 in the AP ranking Sunday afternoon after an unexpected day off Saturday when the Florida State game was postponed due to Covid issues. By not playing, the Tigers actually added three points to their vote total, One voter put the Tigers 2nd on his ballot, but six others had the Tigers as low as #6. All of the first place votes this week went to Alabama. Notre Dame and Ohio State remain second and third. Five thru eight are the same as last week as well with Texas A&M, Florida, Cincinnati and BYU. Oregon and Miami crashed the top 10 with rankings of 9th and 10th respectively. Northwestern was the polls biggest gainer moving up 8 spots to #11. Coastal Carolina, despite an impressive win over Appalachian State, dropped a notch to 16th. One vote did place the Chants 10th on her ballot. The first ranking by the College Football Playoff Committee will be released Tuesday night at 7:00 PM.
