- Clemson built a 4-0 lead in the first three innings off of a Luke Gaffney two-run single in the first, and a Jacob Jarrell two-run homer in the third.
- The Tigers took a 5-1 lead to the top of the 8th when the Bulldogs cored a pair of runs. Hayden Simmerson allowed a single and double to start the inning. A ground ball to second scored one run. Danny Nelson replaced Simmerson and yielded a triple to right to make it a 5-3 game. He then struck out the next two batters to end the threat.
