  • Freshman Will Craddock led off the bottom of the first with a home run for the Gamecocks, and added a two-run double in the third as the Gamecocks went up 4-0.
  • Talmadge LeCroy had RBI doubles in the third and fifth innings. KJ Scobey also delivered a run scoring double in the fifth as USC built the lead to 6-0.
  • Craddock hit a sacrifice play in the sixth for his fourth RBI of the game, and Dawson Harmon capped the scoring with an RBI double in the seventh.
  • Amp Phillips picked up his first win of the season working six innings and allowing just one hit while striking out three and walking two. He lowered his ERA to 1.15.
  • Cooper Parks and Hudson Lee finished up on the mound for USC with Parks allowing the other two hits of a combined three-hit shutout.
  • The Gamecocks are now 5-2 and will face Air Force Sunday afternoon at 4:00 PM with Brandon Stone going to the mound.
