It’ll be interesting to see if South Carolina baseball can play Clemson competitively and win more than 6 SEC contests, which brought fans one of the worst baseball teams in over 50 years. If Mainieri can’t at least get South Carolina to a Regional, much less host one, Donati will need to search for his second major HC in the course of a few months. Something has to change after all 3 men’s sports won a combined 9 SEC games in their respective sports, in total in 2025, another low point for Gamecock men’s sports since officially joining the SEC back in 1992, nearly a span of 35 years!
