A day after teammate Avieon Terrell made his intention known, Clemson defensive tackle Peter Woods announced via social media on Tuesday that he also will enter the NFL Draft. Woods, who was selected as a first-team all-ACC performer, is ranked as one of the top prospects for next April’s draft.
In three seasons with the Tigers, Woods collected 84 tackles, five sacks, and 14.5 TFLs. The Alabaster, Alabama, native also became a short-yardage specialist for Clemson this season, carrying the football eight times and scoring two touchdowns.
Other than Dexter Lawrence and Christian Wilkins, none of the heralded Clemson D linemen have lived up to their draft prospectus. Woods was invisible in many games this season and was never a game-changer. Bottom line – another over-rated Clemson D lineman.
