STRecruiting Notebook 5-14: Clemson is dropped by CB target; Coaches on the road; USC hands out several more offers

It was reported by Rivals that CB Bryce Williams has switched his May 29th official visit from Clemson to Oklahoma, and the Sooners are now in charge of this situation over Nebraska.

Former Clemson commitment SAF Seth Williams was offered by Georgia and Louisville.

Clemson coaches were in to see CB Jayden Aparicio-Bailey on Wednesday night.

Clemson receivers coach Tyler Grisham visited WR Deshawn Hall on Wednesday.

Clemson DC Tom Allen was in Birmingham on Wednesday to check in on DE JiQuan Rogers.

Clemson was in to check on SAF Ta’Shawn Poole of Macon, GA on Wednesday.

Clemson assistant coach Nolan Turner visited this week with OL Grant Pearch (6-5 285) of Dunwoody, GA.

2028 WR J’Shon Goolsby (5-9 160) of Syracuse plans to camp at Clemson this summer with an invite from the Tigers to compete.

South Carolina OL coach Randy Clements visited OL Stafford Willis in Arab, AL Wednesday night.

Newly offered OL Jaylen Hill of Lanett, AL plans to visit South Carolina unofficially on May 19th. He has not yet scheduled an official visit. He has OVs set with Arkansas, Kansas State, Pitt, Mississippi State, and Missouri.

South Carolina offered OL Hudson Ingalsbe (6-6 287) of Anniston, AL. He also has offers from Arkansas, Stanford, Pitt, UCLA, Iowa State, Baylor, West Virginia, UConn, USF, Wake Forest, North Carolina and others. He’s also a state wrestling champion.

South Carolina offered 2028 OL Jarmel Powell (6-5 310) of Richmond, VA. He also has offers from Penn State, East Carolina, Syracuse, Maryland, Wake Forest, West Virginia, and others.

South Carolina offered 2028 OT Bryce Smalls (6-5 295) of Severn, MD.

South Carolina offered 2029 LB Nasir Hawkins (6-4 220) of Philadelphia.

2029 CB Joseph Cowsette (6-1 170) of Severn, MD was offered by South Carolina.

LB Will McNeely (6-2 215) of North Myrtle Beach and IMG Academy was offered by Michigan.

2028 RB Michael Martin of Christ Church was offered by Cincinnati.

Basketball News:

From On3:  San Francisco transfer David Fuchs, a 6-foot-9 junior, averaged 12.7 points and 7.8 rebounds per game this season while shooting better than 51% from the field. He led the Dons in total rebounds (225) and ranked third in the WCC, one of the best mid-major leagues in the country, in rebounds per game.  Clemson has been a consistent program throughout his recruitment and has emerged as the frontrunner for his services, according to sources.

Per Jamie Shaw:  Clemson is in the mix for 2027 guard Justin Wise, along with Texas, Tennessee and Miami.

Coastal Carolina added former Memphis forward 6-8 Ashton Hardaway from the free agent market. Hardaway is the son of Memphis coach Penny Hardaway and averaged six points and three rebounds per game last season.

6-3 Jaxson Bell has transferred to Furman from Army. He has two years left to play. Last season he averaged 12.2 points and 5.0 rebounds per game.
