Clemson quarterback Christopher Vizzina hasn’t gotten a lot of opportunities thus far in his career. The redshirt freshman from Birmingham, Alabama, played in just two games last season without attempting a pass. However, that hasn’t kept him from staying ready.
“I’m confident,” Vizzina told the media on Tuesday. “I’m preparing like I’m going to play every single game this year. Nothing’s going to change about that. Whenever my opportunity comes, I’ll be ready.”
The depth chart for Clemson’s opener against #1-Georgia on August 31st is likely to list Vizzina as Cade Klubnik’s backup. But after throwing for 5,000 yards in high school, should his number be called against the Bulldogs, it seems as though #17 will be ready.
