#STRecruiting Notebook 7-23

SAF Lagonza Hayward of Lyons, GA will make his commitment announcement on July 27th. He has been strongly pursued by South Carolina, but the Gamecocks will not be his choice. In an interview with Phillip Dukes of On3, Hayward said he had made his decision, and it came down to Tennessee, Florida and Georgia. Earlier this month, Hayward said he had narrowed his decision to USC and Tennessee. He took official visits in June to USC, Georgia, Tennessee and Florida.

Paul Strelow of TigerIllustrated reported OT Nelson McGuire of Midlothian, TX will not attend the Clemson recruiting function this Friday. McGuire camped at Clemson in June but has not been offered by the Tigers. He has a July 31st commitment date set with Texas Tech the projection. Two uncommitted prospects still expected to visit Clemson Friday are LB Logan Anderson (6-2 220) of Fyffe, AL and WR Dillon Alfred of Saraland, AL.

USC target 2026 LB Keenan Britt of Oxford, AL is moving his commitment announcement from July 29th to August 10th. He’s visiting Oregon this weekend and is scheduled to visit South Carolina July 31st.

2026 SAF Samari Matthews plans to visit USC Friday and Florida State Saturday and Sunday.

South Pointe WR Jordan Collins committed to Navy earlier this month.

USC offered 6-8 Zymicah Wilkins of Arden, NC.

Clemson offered 6-6 Omari Witherspoon of Bowie, MD. Pittsburg, Virginia, Tech, Maryland and Xavier are some other offers.

USC women are in the top six with 5-9 Aliyah Chavez of Lubbock, TX. The other five are LSU, Texas, Texas Tech, UCLA and Oklahoma.

6-6 Trey Maddox of Gray Collegiate was offered Tuesday by Georgia Tech and Illinois.

Wake Forest transfer LHP Hudson Lee of Dorman committed to Clemson. He pitched an inning in two seasons with the Demond Deacons.
