
While Clemson and Coastal Carolina still have a few more practices to log before their postseason appearances in Jacksonville and Hawaii, the college football bowl season begins in earnest on Saturday. And it starts right here in South Carolina.
The annual Myrtle Beach Bowl, featuring Georgia Southern and Ohio, will kick off the forty-two-game bowl smorgasbord at 11 a.m. on Saturday from Brooks Stadium in Conway. The matchup between the Eagles and Bobcats is the first of seven games on Saturday, blanketing the entire country.
At noon in Atlanta, the Celebration Bowl will feature Howard and Florida A&M, while the New Orleans Bowl between Louisiana and Jacksonville State is set to start at 2:15. The action shifts down to Orlando, with the third of twelve Sun Belt Conference teams seeing action as Appalachian State squares off with Miami of Ohio in the Cure Bowl at 3:30 p.m.
The nighttime tripleheader of games begins with the New Mexico Bowl between Fresno State and New Mexico State at 5:45 p.m. UCLA and Boise State will collide in the LA Bowl at 7:30 p.m. before California and Texas Tech close out the day in the Independence Bowl at 9:15 p.m.
