The USC baseball team opened fall practice Monday afternoon. The Gamecocks will hold scrimmages Thursday and Friday afternoon, and both are open to the public. Mark Kingston guided the Gamecocks to a Super Regional at Florida last summer. Some major contributors return and to help replace the departed, Kingston hit the Transfer Portal hard. He also has a new pitching coach and a third fulltime assistant coach.
