DE KingJoseph Edwards of Hoschton, GA is wrapping up his exams this week, then he’ll settle in on his recruiting plans for the summer, including official visits. Edwards said Sunday night one sure official visits will be to South Carolina. “Official for sure. I’m just trying to figure out should I make mine for in the season so I can come to another game.” Edwards visited last season for the Texas A&M game. He also visited USC in March for a spring practice and for their spring game in April. Edwards said other definite official visits for him will be to Ohio State, Alabama, Tennessee and Southern Cal.
RB Braylen Russell has set an official visit with USC for June 2nd. He also has visits set with Baylor June 9th, Tennessee June 16th, Arkansas June 23rd and Texas A&M June 30th. Russell has not yet visited the Gamecocks, but he was recruited by new offensive coordinator Dowell Loggains when he was at Arkansas.
Clemson target DE Jeremiah Beaman of Birmingham committed to Alabama. Clemson was one of his top ten schools, but he scheduled his June 2nd official visit for Alabama and not Clemson.
SAF Ricardo Jones of Warner Robins, GA cut his list to a final nine of Clemson, USC, Florida State, LSU, Arkansas, Texas, Auburn, Michigan and Tennessee. Jones has official visits set with Clemson June 2nd followed by Tennessee, Florida State and Auburn the rest of the weekends in June.
Clemson is in the top 11 with DE LJ McCray (6-5 250) of Daytona Beach. The others on his short list are Auburn, Georgia, Florida, Florida State, Miami, Alabama, Georgia Tech, LSU, Penn State and Tennessee.
Clemson target SAF KJ Bolden visited Georgia Saturday for the Bulldog’s scavenger hunt recruiting event. He has an official visit with Clemson set for June 2nd followed by visits to Georgia, Ohio State and Alabama in June, and one to Auburn in late September.
WR/CB Jalewis Solomon of Ellaville, GA has official visits set with USC June 2nd and Florida State June 23rd.
USC target DE Dylan Stewart has set an official visit with Miami for June 9th. He has Georgia June 2nd, Ohio State June 16th and USC June 23rd.
USC target CB Kam Mikell made an official visit to Georgia over the weekend. He will visit Georgia Tech June 2nd and USC June 9th.
Clemson target OT Casey Poe made his official visit to Georgia over the weekend. In June he has visits set with Clemson, Texas Tech, Auburn and Alabama, and he has one with Oklahoma in July.
USC offered LB Wyatt Simmons (6-3 215) of Searcy, AR, DT Tyler Simmons (6-4 260) of Windermere, FL, 2025 RB Byron Louis (5-10 180) of Plantation, FL and 2026 RB Jaylen McGill of Broome.
QB Ethan Grunkemeyer, who was evaluated earlier this month by Clemson OC Garrett Riley, committed to Penn State.
Punter Drew Miller of Mediapolis, IA, who drew interest from USC, committed to Georgia.
Clemson target WR Braylon Staley of Aiken won the 4A state championship Friday in the triple jump with a mark of 48 feet-2 inches. He also finished second in the 200 meters in a time of 21.6.
Clemson target WR Cam Coleman was offered by Virginia Tech.
2025 DT Elijah Griffin (6-5 280) of Savannah made unofficial visits to Clemson Saturday and USC Sunday. Griffin also visited the Gamecocks in January, and he’s been to Alabama.
WR Christian Zachary of Calhoun County has set an official visit to Virginia for June 2nd.
2025 DT Amare Adams of Lake City has picked up offers from Georgia Tech, Auburn, LSU and Arkansas.
Former TL Hanna DL Stephon Wynn Jr. is transferring to Ole Miss. He started his career at Alabama before transferring to Nebraska.
USC and Clemson target 6-4 Austin Swartz was offered by Southern Cal, Miami and Penn State.
Three former in-state high school basketball standouts have found new college homes. CJ Felder of Sumter, who began his career at Boston College before transferring to Florida, is transferring to McNeese State. Raekwon Horton of Keenan is transferring from the College of Charleston to James Madison. And Cesare Edwards of Hartsville is transferring from Xavier to Missouri State.
