#ACCKickoff: Duke’s Mike Elko (AUDIO)

(ACC/Jaylynn Nash)

First-year Duke head coach Mike Elko took the stage in Charlotte, Thursday as part of the ACC Kickoff. Elko comes to Durham well pedigreed as defensive problem solver, having worked under Brian Kelly at Notre Dame and the last four seasons under Jimbo Fisher at Texas A&M. Elko certainly has his work cut out for him as the Blue Devils surrendered 46 points/game in conference play last season. Elko has placed an emphasis on forcing turnovers and protecting the football heading into 2022. Duke hasn’t finished with a positive turnover margin since 2014.
