The USC women closed out their home schedule in style Thursday afternoon with a dominant 68-43 win over Ole Miss. The game originally was scheduled for December 31st but was postponed due to Covid in the Ole Miss program. Zia Cooke led the Gamecocks with 17 points as they defeated the Rebels for the 13th straight time.

The game turned in USC’s favor in the second and third quarters when Ole Miss was held to four field goals and the Gamecocks build their lead to 21. The Gamecocks held the Rebels to 26%, their worst shooting performance of the season.

USC is now 19-3 overall and 14-1 in the SEC. The Gamecocks will play at Texas A&M Sunday in a game that will determine the SEC regular season champion.
