STRecruiting Notebook 5-15:

Friday is announcement day for USC running back target Brayden Tyson of Snellville, GA. He is set to reveal his choice at 3:30 PM. Tyson’s only official visit thus far was to USC two weekends ago. He has also had Florida State, Rutgers, and Purdue in his final four. Tyson also visited the Gamecocks twice in the spring, and he was in for a game last season. He has rushed for 3500 yards and 42 touchdowns over the last two seasons. His father was a defensive lineman at Georgia and in the NFL.

Free agent OL Vincent Chen (6-8 330) of Stetson visited South Carolina on Thursday, per Hale McGranahan of Gamecock247. He has also visited Auburn and Vanderbilt, and Virginia and North Carolina have also expressed interest.

LB AJ Randle of Raleigh will announce on May 21st. He has taken an official visit to USC and was scheduled for NC State last weekend. He also has Miami, Ohio State, Florida, and Georgia on his short list. He has been projected to Miami by On3.

2028 OL Ty Winn of Philadelphia plans to visit South Carolina on Sunday for its junior day.

LB Will McNeely (6-2 215) of North Myrtle Beach and IMG Academy has an official visit set with Michigan for June 15th. He has a PWO offer from Michigan, but that could change based on the visit. He is also in contact with USC linebacker coaches Clayton White and Trey Money. He has a June camp invite from the Gamecocks and plans to attend.

DT Segun Alexander (6-4 270), a Clemson target, is reclassifying to 2027. He’s in the process, along with his agent, of setting up his official visits. He made an unofficial visit to Clemson in April. He also has offers from Florida, Vanderbilt, Rutgers, North Carolina, Miami, Cal, Arkansas, West Virginia, Oklahoma, Texas A&M, Notre Dame, Syracuse, Virginia Tech, Michigan State, Tennessee, and others. Last season he had 35 tackles with 13 sacks.

JL Mann punter Philip Georgopoulos visited Clemson on Thursday and plans to return for a camp this summer.

Clemson OL coach Matt Luke visited with OL target Carter Jones on Thursday.

Clemson is showing some interest in 2028 DL Michai Crump (6-1 255) of Huntington Station, NY.

Former Hammond standout RB CJ Stokes (5-10 200) is transferring from Charlotte to Furman as a grad student. He spent two seasons at Michigan and two at Charlotte. In his career, he has rushed for 463 yards and three touchdowns.
