6-5 small forward Myles Stute of Washington, DC had his first in-home visit of the new recruiting season last Thursday with Clemson assistant coach Reynolds Dean. Clemson has offered Stute as have Georgetown, Penn State, Marquette, Penn, Oklahoma State, Villanova, George Mason, Louisville, George Washington, Seton Hall and others.
“The in home went great, Coach Dean made the trip out and we had a great conversation with my family,” Stute said. “He filled us in about the university itself, the culture there, the team and their vision for what’s to come within the next few years.”
Whatever Dean laid out for Stute and his family opened up some eyes.
“I love Clemson,” Stute said. “I think it would be a great place for me to be and that the coaching staff would push me to become a better man on and off the court. “With that being said, my recruitment is still fully open and I don’t have any favorites.”
Stute said he does not have any other in-home visits scheduled at this point though more will be coming. He also has not set his official visits but he knows one he will take.
“Clemson will definitely get an official, hopefully sometime soon,” he said adding that Marquette, Florida, Virginia Tech, Georgetown, Penn and Seton Hall are some others recruiting him with strong interest.
Last season Stute averaged 9 points, 6 rebounds and 2 assists per game.
