Clemson moves up four more spots in the AP Men’s Top 25; South Carolina holds on to the #2 spot in the Women’s Top 25

On the strength of a nine-game winning streak and a 6-0 start in the ACC, Clemson is now 18th in the AP Men’s Top Poll released Monday afternoon. The Tigers broke into the poll at #22 last week, the moved up four spots after wins over Boston College and Miami last week.

The Tigers were ranked as high as #15 and as low as #23. South Carolina’s AP Poll voter Scott Hamilton ranked the Tigers 17th.

Arizona received all 62 first place votes and is followed by UConn, Michigan, Purdue and Duke.

The Gamecocks are ranked 2nd in the Women’s Top 25 behind UConn, which received all 30 first-place votes. Matt Dowell of WACH TV in Columbia, who is the state’s AP voter for women’s basketball, ranked the Gamecocks #2 on his ballot.

UCLA, Texas and Vanderbilt follow the Gamecocks in the top five.
