


Colorado DE London Merritt (6-3 250) is visiting Clemson on Wednesday. He has also visited Vanderbilt. Clemson recruited Merritt out of high school in Atlanta before he moved on to IMG Academy in Florida. He played in nine games this season and had 19 tackles with four tackles for loss and a sack. UT-Martin DE Keyshawn Johinson (6-2 230) is also visiting Clemson on Wednesday, per Grayson Mann at TigerNet. Johnson is a native of Belle Glade, FL, who began his career at Grambling. This season, he was named the OVC-Big South Defensive Player of the Year after totaling 53 tackles with 20 tackles for loss and 13.5 sacks.
Alabama DT Kelby Collins announced Tuesday night he will test the free agent waters, again. He began his career at Florida. This season, he played in 14 games and had 12 tackles with three tackles for loss and two sacks. He played in 18 games at Florida in two seasons and had 29 tackles with 1.5 sacks. Kelby is the brother of South Carolina target DE Drew Collins, who is scheduled to visit on Thursday. We asked Drew Tuesday night if his brother might visit as well. “Possibly,” he replied. Drew Collins also picked up an offer from Kentucky in Tuesday night.

South Carolina is scheduled for a visit from QB Malachi Marshall (6-2 170) of Iowa Western JC on January 15th. He prepped at South Pointe. One-time Clemson commitment SAF Jordan Young of Monroe, NC, is transferring. per Hayes Fawcett. Young committed to Clemson in November of 2024, then decommitted a month later and committed to Michigan. Florida State and NC State were his other two official visits at that time. This season, Young had 15 tackles and three pass deflections.
Clemson target Michigan State free agent OT Stanton Ramil (6-7 312) agreed to a contract with Auburn.
Former Clemson CB Shelton Lewis is headed to Arkansas.

Clemson receivers coach Tyler Grisham visited WR DJ Huggins of Kennesaw, GA on Tuesday. Huggins now plans to visit Clemson for the junior day March 7th.
South Carolina DC Clayton White visited Tuesday with LB AJ Randle of Raleigh.
South Carolina coaches Shane Beamer, Kendal Briles and Stan Drayton visited with Byrnes RB Tre Segarra on Tuesday, as did Clemson running backs coach CJ Spiller.
