



South Carolina coach Shane Beamer has said he will continue to look at the portal for players he thinks can improve his team. On Thursday, PK Malik Orsan announced a commitment to the Gamecocks via a social media post, which included a picture with Beamer inside the head coach’s office.
Orsan will join Max Kelley, Mason Love, Upton Bellenfant in the kicking competition this summer and fall.
Orsan was a freshman at Southeast Missouri State last season and did not have any stats. He’s a native of St. Louis and won the upperclassman field goal competition in the 2024 Kohl’s Southern Winter Showcase. Here’s what Kohl’s reported on him:
He had his best showing to date and won the upperclassman field goal competition. His drill work was excellent and he scored 14/15 points in the field goal charting. His overall score on kickoffs was 106.10 which included a big ball of 72 yards with 3.53 seconds of hang time. Orsan competed at the 2024 Kohl’s National Scholarship Camp. He scored 18 field goals and demonstrated good command of the football, achieving an impressive overall kickoff score of 99.77. His standout big ball reached a distance of 67 yards with a hang time of 3.64 seconds. He has set himself up for a strong upcoming season.
