Clemson gets back on the winning track Monday night with an 81-61 win over North Alabama at Littlejohn (AUDIO)

Coming off its first loss of the season Saturday at Georgetown, Clemson built an early ten-point lead on North Alabama and cruised to an 81-81 victory at Littlejohn Coliseum Monday night.

Clemson led 17-7 about seven minutes in, and by halftime the lead had grown to 23, as the Tigers closed the half on a 26-11 run. In the second half, the lead never dropped under 14 points.

RJ Godfrey, who came off the bench for this game, led the Tigers with 15 points. That was part of 44 points off the bench for the Tigers. Zac Foster added 14 points to go along with six assists and four rebounds. And Carter Welling had 13 points and nine rebounds.

The Tigers shot 44% for the game with 11 three-pointers. They grabbed 20 offensive rebounds they converted into 20 points. And they also made 16 of 20 from the line. Defensively, the Tigers limited the Lions to 37% shooting, and they won the backboards 46-29.

The Tigers are 4-1 and will play West Virginia in the Charleston Classic on Friday night. They will face either Georgia or Xavier on Sunday afternoon.
