AP voters give South Carolina and Clemson the boot following their upset losses on Saturday

The AP Top 25 released Sunday afternoon does not include South Carolina or Clemson for the first time this season. The Gamecocks were ranked 11th last week, but their loss to Vanderbilt in Columbia Saturday night was too much for the voters to ignore. And Clemson, which was ranked 12th last week, fell at Georgia Tech Saturday on a walk-off field goal, and with a 1-2 record, the Tigers were found not worthy of Top 25 status.

This week’s poll is Clemson’s first time outside of the Top 25 since week 14 of the 2023 season.

Georgia Tech used the win over Clemson to break into the poll for the first time this season at #18. Ditto for Vanderbilt with the win over USC propelling the Commodores into the poll at #20.

Ohio State, Penn State and LSU remain in the top three spots. Miami moved up one position to #4 and Georgia is up one place to #5.

USC’s opponent this week, Missouri, is ranked 23rd.

South Carolina remained the Coaches Top 25 dropping to #24.
