Jeremiah Donati details plans for stadium renovation

From USC

The Williams-Brice Reimagined project is rooted in four key pillars:

  • For All: This project is not just for a subset of Gamecock Fans. During the reimagination of Williams-Brice Stadium, our department and partners will focus on creating an enhanced game day experience that will build lasting memories for present and future generations with inspiring admiration from visiting fans.
  • Legacy & Tradition: This project will focus on the history of Williams-Brice Stadium and what it means to be a Gamecock. It will bridge the nostalgia and tradition of the past, while creating enthusiasm for the future.
  • Home: This project will create a place of belonging that brings fans together and fosters South Carolinian camaraderie.
  • Pride of the State: This project is more than just a football stadium; it will create a year-round venue that highlights the beauty and culture of South Carolina.

The project will focus on three key areas for reimagination:

  • Overall Fan Experience: This project will touch on four key areas of improvement
    • Stadium Circulation – How fans move around the stadium
    • Concessions – Improvements that provide more offerings and quicker service
    • Restrooms – Increasing the number to reduce wait times
    • The Cockpit – Improving the overall student experience and providing more amenities to current USC students
  • Premium Offerings: Currently, Williams-Brice Stadium ranks last among SEC peers in total premium seating as a percentage of capacity compared to its peers.  This project will seek to significantly increase the number of premium seats, clubs and suites as well as significantly enhance the offerings for fans in those areas.
  • Student-Athlete Experience: The football team’s space inside Williams-Brice Stadium will be completely resigned including a new team lobby/recruit lounge, locker room with new lockers, equipment room, training room, player holding area, interview room and new male and female trainer’s locker rooms.  Additionally, to assist with back-of-house operation on the ground level, the visiting team locker room will be moved to the southeast corner of Williams-Brice Stadium.
