New Orleans: Coastal Carolina football players OL Nick Del Grande and linebacker Shane Bruce are not interested in preseason accolades. Del Grande is a preseason first-team All-Sun Belt selection, while Bruce was named to the second team. However, the two veterans are only interested in what happens at the conclusion of this year’s campaign. And the duo, along with their head coach Tim Beck, believe something special might be in the offing this fall.
The group attended Sun Belt “Media Days” in New Orleans on Wednesday and displayed a quiet confidence about what they can accomplish in Conway, despite being picked fourth in the preseason coaches poll.
CCU opens the new season on August 30th at Virginia.
