
Northwestern SAF Tamarion Watkins (6-4 201) is one of the state’s prize recruits for the 2026 class. He has seen his offer list expand recently with the additions of Georgia, Vanderbilt, Alabama, West Virginia, Kentucky, Georgia Tech, Florida, Florida State, North Carolina, Coastal Carolina and East Carolina.
Watkins plans to visit Georgia Tech Saturday. He has also been this month to Georgia and South Carolina. He was back with the Gamecocks last Saturday for their junior day.
“I liked all of it. Love the coaches, the entire staff, love all of those guys,” Watkins said. “They showed that they wanted me. and talked about their emphasis on work and how detailed and work heavy program they are.”
Waktins plans to check out spring practices at USC, Texas A&M, Georgia, Alabama and others. He has set official visits to USC for May 30th and Georgia June 6th, and he will schedule other as he continues to sort through his various opportunities.
“As of right now, nothing’s really changed in my recruitment,” Watkins said. “I’m still open to everybody and hearing everybody out completely before I make my decision.”
This week Watkins has had school visits with Texas A&M and Georgia. Last week he met with coaches from USC, Clemson, Georgia Tech and Florida.
