Overshadowed by the team’s big win over NC State Saturday afternoon was the loss by Clemson of a key member of its 2025 recruiting class. DT Isaiah Campbell announced he no longer was committed to the Tigers and would be taking other official visits.
Campbell, who committed to Clemson in January, posted his change of heart on X writing, “I am continuing to build relationships with schools that share my values and goals.”
Campbell later told On3 that he has set official visits to Tennessee for October 15th and to North Carolina November 15th. He also visited North Carolina unofficially two Saturdays ago.
Campbell visited Clemson for the Notre Dame game last season and was back in late January for a junior day. He returned for an official visit the first weekend in June. He chose Clemson from a short list that also included. Alabama, Oklahoma, Notre Dame, LSU, Duke, Penn State, North Carolina, NC State and Miami.
Last season Campbell totaled 16 sacks and 27 tackles for loss. His deletion leaves Clemson with 14 commitments and one defensive tackle in the 2025 class.
