Clemson target LB Wyatt Simmons (6-3 215) of Searcy, AR committed to Arkansas. Simmons was a top linebacker target of the Tigers as they were hoping to add him to the duo of committed linebackers Sammy Brown and Drew Woodaz. Depth wise, linebacker is an area of concern in the program. The Tigers are likely to lose starters Barrett Carter and Jeremiah Trotter Jr. after this season. Earlier this month redshirt freshman prospect TJ Dudley was dismissed from the team and eventually transferred to Ole Miss.

2024 OT Daniel Akinkunmi (6-5 300) of London said he will take an official visit to Clemson this fall. He has not yet set a date but has been having conversations with offensive line coach Thomas Austin. He has taken an official visit to Baylor and will visit Oklahoma on September 3rd. He also was recently offered by Miami.

OT Favour Edwin, who is drawing interest from Clemson, was offered by Auburn.

Clemson target 2025 TE Nate Roberts of Washington, OK, who recently decommitted from Notre Dame, was offered by Utah

USC 2025 baseball commitment OF Micah Matthews (6-2 195) of Bridgewater, VA, who is also being recruited for football as a receiver, was offered by North Carolina. He also has Power 5 football offers from West Virginia and Virginia Tech. Matthews told 247Sports he will visit Penn State September 2nd, USC September 9th and Virginia Tech September 30th. He also plans to see North Carolina and West Virginia. Last season Mathews caught 64 passes for 974 yards and 10 touchdowns.

USC and Clemson target 2025 DE Bryce Davis was offered by LSU.

Irmo WR Caleb Alexander commented to Lenoir- Rhyne.

2025 QB Jaden Cummings (5-11 180) of Summerville, formerly of Hanahan, was offered by Central Michigan.

Clemson target 6-4 Austin Swartz has rescheduled his Indiana official visit for September 15th according to Jamie Shaw of On3. Swartz will visit Miami August 25th, Georgia September 1st, Florida State September 8th, Connecticut September 22nd and Virginia Tech September 29th. He has already taken official visits to Clemson and Tennessee.

USC is in the final six with 6-2 Elijah Crawford of Brewster Academy in New Hampshire. The others are Georgia, LSU, Mississippi State, UCF and Stanford.

2024 SS/RHP Cooper Parks (6-2 165) of York committed to USC.
