A source in the world of football agents and with knowledge within the NFLPA told us Friday morning USC CB Cam Smith signed on November 26th with agents Zac Hiller & Matthew Leist of the agency Loyalty Above All, thus ending his college career.

Smith is projected as a first-round pick by the vast majority of NFL Draft analysts.

A USC spokesman would not confirm the information saying head coach Shane Beamer will meet with the media Sunday at 5:00 PM after the bowl announcement.

Smith is a native of Blythewood and a graduate of Westwood. He was a Shrine Bowl selection and also played in the All-American Bowl following his senior season.

Smith redshirted at USC in 2019 though he played in three games. He started three games and played in eight in 2020 and became a major factor on the defense in 2021. He played in 11 games and started seven. He had 41 tackles, three interceptions and broke up 11 more passes. He was named AP Second Team All-SEC after the season.

This season Smith totaled 27 tackles with one interception and six other passes defended. For his career he started 19 of 33 games and totaled 91 tackles with six interceptions and 24 other passes defended.
