The Clemson Tigers almost let one slip away at Florida State on Saturday. The Tigers, however, held on for a 34-28 win to remain undefeated on the season. Yet, in the eyes of the AP voters, perfect doesn’t appear to be enough, as Clemson dropped one spot to 5th in this week’s poll. The Tigers may have to wait until November 1st to gain any respect in the national polls, as that’s the date the first College Football Playoff rankings are scheduled for release.
In the meantime, Clemson has another shot to improve its resume this Saturday as the Tigers host #14-Syracuse in the de facto ACC Atlantic Division championship game. Both teams will enter the high noon showdown unbeaten in ACC play and a combined 13-0 overall.
On Monday, several of the Clemson coaches and players met with the media to look back at the six-point win in Tallahassee and to preview this weekend’s matchup with the Orange. You can hear their comments below, courtesy of Clemson Sports Information.
