Clemson held its second scrimmage of the spring on Wednesday in preparation for next Saturday’s “Orange and White” game at Memorial Stadium. The workout was controlled by the defense, according to head coach Dabo Swinney. “They got their hands on the ball,” Swinney noted afterwards. “We have not really intercepted the ball really all spring. We had some takeaways on some turnovers, but today they had two picks and that was really good to see.” He was referencing Nate Wiggins and Toriano Pride who each recorded an interception and returned it for a touchdown.
In addition to Swinney’s comments, co-defensive coordinator Mickey Conn and passing game coordinator Kyle Richardson were made available to the media to give their take on the scrimmage inside “Death Valley”.
