The Clemson men’s basketball season may have hit rock bottom on Saturday at Louisville. Not only was their longest losing streak in five years extended with a 70-61 loss to the Cardinals, but P.J. Hall played less than two minutes as he left the game with a left foot injury. Hall has been dealing with a bad foot for a good portion of the season and the Tigers have done their best to keep their leading scorer on the floor. The Spartanburg native, who averages 16 points per game, rarely practices between outings in an effort to get as much rest as possible.
On Monday, Brad Brownell had a little bit of news on the sophomore’s status during the weekly ACC Zoom call. “The X-ray was negative, so that’s good,” the Tigers head coach stated during the media gathering. “He’s still doing medical testing today in terms of availability for Wednesday. We’ll have to wait and see.”
Brownell also seemed pleased with his team’s work ethic, despite the Tigers having now dropped six consecutive games. Clemson bids for its first win since “Groundhog Day” on Wednesday as the Tigers host Wake Forest at 7pm on the ACC Network.
