Clemson’s losing streak is now at six following a 70-61 loss at Louisville Saturday. Not only did the Tigers lose the game, they lost their best player, forward PJ Hall, in the first minute of the game with a foot injury that kept him out the rest of the way.

Like so many of Clemson’s losses this season, the Tigers were in this one late only to see the game get away from them in the final minutes. They actually led 53-52 with 7:34 to play. But the Cardinals went on a 15-3 run for a 67-56 lead with 1:11 left. The Tigers had no answers from there.

The Cardinals shot 48% from the floor in the second half and hit eight three-point shots in the final twenty minutes. They did not make a three-pointer in the first half.

Al-Amir Dawes came off the bench to hit six of Clemson’s nine three-point field goals. He led the Tigers with 19 points. Naz Bohannon, getting extra minutes due to Hall’s absence, contributed 11 points and 4 rebounds. David Collins led the Tigers in rebounds with 10.

Clemson is now 12-15 overall and 4-12 in the ACC. They will host Wake Forest Wednesday night at 7:00 PM.
