College baseball practice for D1 programs opens across the country on Friday. USC coach Mark Kingston met with the media Thursday via Zoom and expressed great optimism about the upcoming season despite the lack of national acclaim. Kingston is excited about the mix of returning veterans and newcomers to the roster, and he feels this club can improve on last year’s finish with elimination from the NCAA Tournament in the regional round in Columbia.
