The remnants of Tropical Storm Fred passed through the Upstate on Tuesday, forcing the Clemson football team to workout inside as preseason camp continues. After practice, head coach Dabo Swinney met with the media via Zoom to update the progress of his team.
Swinney said they did a lot of situational work on Tuesday, noting that he was pleased with the amount of teaching he and his staff were able to get done. He also illustrated the level of competition at practice by saying, “there aren’t many teams in the country that can compete against each other like we can. We’re very fortunate because we get exposed on this practice field as coaches and players everyday.”
School begins on Wednesday at Clemson with the Tigers set to have their final scrimmage of preseason camp on Thursday. Swinney said the Tigers will start preparation for Georgia next week.
