Chennis Berry brings offensive mind to Benedict (Benedict SID)

Benedict cut its ties with football coach Mike White after the 2019 season and in February hired Chennis Berry, the assistant head coach and offensive coordinator at Southern University. Berry was with the Jaguars for seven seasons and during that time they won a SWAC Championship and four division titles. Last season the Jaguars averaged 33 points per game and led the SWAC in rushing. Last season the Tigers went 1-9 averaging 18 points per game. Earlier this month Berry joined us on SportsTalk to talk about his new job and the challenges ahead.
