  • South Carolina had the game in control at halftime, 38-22, and the Gamecocks just took the Bulldogs to the woodshed in the third quarter, 30-6.
  • The Gamecocks hit 10-14 shots (71.4%) in the third quarter, and they were 9-9 at the foul line. They also forced six turnovers, which they converted into seven points.
  • Five Gamecocks scored in double figures, led by Joyce Edwards with 21 points. She became just the third sophomore in program history to reach a thousand points.
  • Madina Okot had her 14th double-double of the season with 10 points and 10 rebounds.
  • South Carolina has won eight straight over Mississippi State, 17 straight home games, and 53 straight home SEC games.
