


Ole Miss strikes again. First, the Rebels reportedly poached linebacker Luke Ferrelli from Clemson. Then on Saturday night, it was reported by Matt Zenitz that former South Carolina TE Michael Smith had committed to Ole Miss. This after allegedly and reportedly signing a contract with Syracuse, and then reneging on that in an effort to return to the USC program. Smith quit the Gamecocks in October to save his redshirt season with the intention to transfer. He entered the Portal on the first day and quickly committed to Syracuse.
Free agent DL Brien Taylor (6-5 295) from Florida is visiting Tennessee today, and per Paul Strelow of TigerIllustrated, he will visit Clemson on Monday. He’s a Houston native who spent two years in junior college before two seasons with the Gators. This past season, he played 284 snaps and had 25 tackles with three tackles for loss and two sacks.

Former South Carolina DT Jerome Simmons is headed to Oregon from ULM. The Bamberg-Ehrhardt grad began his career in junior college. He spent the 2024 season with the Gamecocks and redshirted. He had 10 tackles in eight games this season.
Former South Carolina OL Ryan Brubaker is headed to Virginia. Of the 18 Gamecocks to enter the Portal, 14 have signed with or committed to new schools.
Former Clemson RB Keith Adams Jr. Is headed to Georgia State.
Former Irmo RB Jaden Allen-Hendrix is transferring to Coastal Carolina from Oklahoma State.
Former Coastal Carolina DE Ezekie Durham-Campbell agreed to terms with West Virginia.
One-time Catawba Ridge QB Jadyn Davis is heading from Michigan to East Tennessee State.
CB Joshua Dobson, formerly of Catawba Ridge and now at Hough, was at Texas A&M on Saturday for a junior day and met up with coach Mike Elko.
Lucy Beckham OL Ty Johnson was offered by Georgia Saturday while on a visit. His dad played for the Bulldogs.
South Carolina target LB AJ Randle was offered by Georgia while on a visit Saturday.
Clemson target OT Carter Jones visited Virginia Tech on Saturday and Penn State on Sunday.
South Carolina is on the short list with WR Iveon Lewis (6-2 180) of Richmond, VA. He told Chad Simmons of Rivals that the Gamecocks made the cut, along with Florida State, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Purdue, Rutgers, Tennessee, Vanderbilt, USF, Virginia, and Virginia Tech.
2029 WR Malachi Debnam (6-3 190) of Easley and 2029 WR Corey Miller of Irmo were offered by Miami.
