STRecruiting Notebook 1-6 Afternoon Update: More news on college football free agents; Clemson makes cut with highly recruited OT; Pair of top in-state prospects get new offers

Clemson offered Tennessee transfer DT Jamal Wallace (6-3 313), along with Purdue, Oregon State, San Diego State, Memphis, Mississippi State, South Florida, Kansas, UNIV and Cincinnati. Clemson was his first offer after he entered the Portal. He played in nine games in two seasons and had 7 tackles. He played two seasons of JC ball before going to UT. He plans to visit Clemson on Wednesday.

Per Paul Strelow of TigerIllustrated, Clemson could be a strong player with Michigan State free agent OT Stanton Ramil.

Former Kentucky CB Quay’sheed Scott confirmed this afternoon that he is in Columbia and at USC for an official visit. Jordan Kaye of The State was the first to report Scott was in Columbia. Scott is a native of Marion and a former Shrine Bowler.

Former Clemson DT Stephiylan Green has agreed to a free agent contract with LSU.

Former USC DT Zavion Hardy is moving on to USF. He played sparingly this season after transferring in from junior college.

South Carolina DE Jaylen Brown is transferring. He missed all of the season with an injury after transferring from Missouri. He’s the 16th scholarship player to leave USC for free agency.

Former Clemson signee and Belton-Honea Path RB/SAF Marquise Henderson is headed to Samford.

Coastal Carolina DE Ezekiel Durham-Campbell is transferring. He had 42 tackles and 5.5 sacks in his one season with the Chants.

Clemson is in the top 11 with OT Peyton Miller. The others are Florida State, Iowa, Oklahoma, Arizona State, Penn State, SMU, Texas Tech, Wisconsin, Texas and Florida.

DE Peyton Bishop (6-4 230) of AC Flora was offered by Georgia. He had over 100 tackles and 16.0 sacks last season.

Catawba Ridge CB Joshua Dobson was offered by Ole Miss on Tuesday. He also had a school visit with Tennessee head coach Josh Heupel.
