They say Auburn is Clemson without a lake. Tuesday night, that old saying can be rewritten into, Auburn is Clemson without a Starr. Donovan Starr, that is. Chris Hummer reported late Tuesday night that Starr (5-11 182) had signed a free agent deal with Clemson after visiting earlier in the day. Starr was recruited and offered by Clemson out of high school in Brentwood, TN. He visited the Tigers in April of 2024 but did not take an official visit that summer before committing to Auburn. He played in nine games this season and did not record any stats. He’s the fourth signee of the day for Clemson and the fifth overall, all on the defensive side.
