STRecruiting: Clemson’s recruiting momentum reaches into Texas with the addition of DB Bryant Robinson

Over the last couple of weeks, no program has been hotter on the recruiting trail than the Clemson Tigers. Dabo Swinney and his staff have done a remarkable job of restocking the roster on offense, special teams, and defense.

The latter got a boost with the commitment of CB Bryant Robinson (6-3, 175) of Frisco (Texas) Lone Star High School. He was a part of Clemson’s highly effective May 29th official weekend and elected to commit to the Tigers over Arizona, Arizona State, and Texas Tech

Bryant has been a long-time target of the Tigers, receiving his offer from Dabo Swinney and Mike Reed in August of 2025. As a sophomore in 2024, Robinson recorded 21 tackles and 10 pass breakups in just nine games to snag Texas District 5-5A D-I Defensive Newcomer of the Year. In his junior campaign, he picked up 46 tackles with two interceptions.

Robinson made an official visit to Arizona State to start May, and he had official visits scheduled this month for his other two favorites. But his visit to Clemson convinced him he had found the right place, and he has scratched those other trips.

The recruiting victory for the Tigers is noteworthy because they landed a prospect who was hotly pursued by heavy-spending Texas Tech. The Red Raiders tend to win more of those battles than they lose.

Robinson is the second cornerback commitment for the Tigers, and he’s the #22 commitment for their 2027 class.
