Clemson evidently is quite pleased with the job Graham Neff is doing as athletics director. The university expressed such satisfaction that it awarded him a new contract on Friday morning. The contract extension will keep Neff, who has been Clemson’s AD since December of 2021, in town until 2031. He will receive a bump in his salary from $900,000 to $1.25 million in 2025-26 and will go up to $1.75 million.

The contract terms also included a $300,000 retention bonus if Neff is still employed by Clemson in July 2026.

There are yearly bonuses capped at $250,000 for metrics such as Playoff appearances ($50K), national championship in football ($50K), NCAA tournament invites (men’s or women’s; $20K), Final Four ($25K), basketball national championship ($30K), any non-football or basketball NCAA championship ($10K each), as well as for IPTAY fundraising at $80 million and over ($25K) and academic performance for the athletic department ($25K).
