From “Bedlam” to “Paul Bunyan’s Axe” to “Clean, Old-Fashioned Hate,” all great college football rivalries have one thing in common: a cool trophy or nickname.

On Saturday, Coastal Carolina and Appalachian State will meet for the twelfth time in series history. The tension is so high that Coastal will not mention the name of Saturday’s opponent, instead referring to them as the “School in Boone.”

On Wednesday, head coach Tim Beck met with the media to reflect on last weekend’s win over ULM and to preview this week’s visit to Appala…Oops, “S.I.B.”
