South Carolina signed transfer RB Rahsul Faison from Utah State with the hopes that he would be able to come in and carry much of the load in the ground game this season. Faison might still get his chances, but as of June 11th, he’s in litigation limbo in an effort to get another season of eligibility from the NCAA.
Shane Beamer, when asked about his running back room related to the Faison situation, always said they would look for another option out of the Transfer Portal. Wednesday, the Gamecocks hit on that option with a commitment from Colorado transfer RB Isaiah Augustave (6-2 210).
The rising junior from Naples, FL led the Buffaloes in rushing last season with 394 yards on 85 carries, and he scored four touchdowns.
Auugustave started his career at Arkansas in 2023 and rushed for 202 yards and a touchdown as a true freshman.
Augustave becomes the 18th transfer from the Portal taken by the Gamecocks, and he gives them 44 newcomers for the 2025 roster.
