
6-8 forward Elijah Strong, a Charlotte native who played the last two seasons at Boston College, announced a commitment to South Carolina Sunday morning. Strong made an official visit with the Gamecocks over the weekend.
In 40 games at Boston College, Strong averaged seven points and three rebounds per game. He shot 46% from the floor and 61% from the line.
Strong had a solid game against Clemson last season scoring 15 points and grabbing six rebounds in a loss to the Tigers.
Strong is the fifth transfer to be signed by USC coach Lamont Paris since the end of the season. He gives the Gamecocks nine newcomers for next season.
