Makeer has missed a lot of time this season due to an injury and is averaging 10 points, six rebounds and three assists per game. Playing for Canada in the 2024 FIBA U17 World Cup, Makeer averaged 18 points and seven rebounds per game. She is the second commitment for the 2025 Gamecock class joining 6-2 Ayla McDowell of Cypress, TX.
South Carolina target QB Brady Smigiel of Newbury Park, CA has set an unofficial and an official visit with Michigan according to MichiganRivals. He plans to take in the spring game in Ann Arbor on April 19th and return for an official visit on June 6th. He already had plans to visit Washington March 7th, the Gamecocks March 27th and he has an official visit to Washington set for June 20th.
