
South Carolina’s shopping spree in the NCAA Transfer Portal continued on Saturday as the Gamecocks announced the signing of DT Davonte Miles (6-5 275) of Bowling Green and River Rouge, MI. Miles made his decision on the Gamecocks while on campus for a visit.
Miles also made transfer visits to Mississippi State and Illinois. He was also offered by Memphis after hitting the Portal.
Miles arrived at Bowling Green in 2022 and redshirted. In his career there he had 27 tackles with 1.5 tackles for loss and no sacks.
Miles gives the Gamecocks four defensive tackles in their 2025 class of newcomers which includes 12 transfers from the Portal and 38 newcomers overall.

• Appeared in one of BGSU’s 13 games
• Made collegiate debut at Mississippi State and recorded one tackle, which was for a loss
