Some technical issues delayed the start of Shane Beamer’s first Sunday conference call with the media by a half-hour, then cut the session short after five minutes. Beamer had enough time to reflect on the win over Old Dominion and take one question.
In general, Beamer was very pleased by the effort of his players, understands there are several areas that need to be cleaned up, and said there’s a lot of teams 0-1 and his isn’t one of them.
Beamer also said there were no new significant injuries coming out of the game, but he won’t fully address the injury situation until he’s required to under the new SEC rules.
The Gamecocks play at Kentucky this Saturday afternoon and are 6.5-point underdogs.
