The Flying Fleet was grounded at Erskine College last season. The program suffered through an 0-11 season in which they averaged scoring 11 points per game while giving up 39 points per game. The Fleet will enter the 2024 season on a 20 game losing streak.
But coach Shep Boyd believes things are about to change. He calls this year’s squad his most talented. He also believes changes on the coaching staff have made them better.
The Flying Fleet might be improved, and they will need to be to reflect that in the record as they spend this season playing in the Gulf South Conference, considered the strongest D2 league in the country.
